Finding notebooks, and finding things inside them

The Search notebooks box on the home page does two things at once:

• It filters your notebooks by title.
• Under Found inside notebooks, it lists the notebooks whose sources or notes match, and shows where each match is.

It looks inside each notebook's ticked sources and its notes, never in Studio outputs or chats. It lists up to 8 notebooks, with up to 3 matches each and 20 in all. A search can be up to 200 characters.

Use All and Recent to switch views, and the grid and list buttons to change the layout. Notebooks pinned with Pin to featured show at the top.

To find new material for a notebook, use the research box in its Sources panel instead. See Notebooks and sources.
