The Android and iPhone apps

There are phone apps for Android and iPhone. Both connect to the same server and account as the website, so your notebooks are the same everywhere.

What it does

  • Notebooks: browse, search, create, rename and delete them. The search also looks inside notebooks' sources and notes, under Found inside notebooks.
  • Sources: tick sources on and off, see indexing status, add a web link, upload files from the phone (with the Local or Cloud parser), and read source guides. Long-press a source to remove it from the notebook.
  • Chat: the notebook's chat, with citations you can tap, suggested questions and follow-ups, and @ to ask about one or more sources. Answers have Stop, Try again and Copy, and say so when they were cut off at the model's limit.
  • Studio: every output type, with the same options as on the web. Audio plays in the background with lock-screen controls, at 0.75× to 2× speed, with buttons to go back 15 seconds or forward 30, and the transcript below. Video, flashcards, quizzes, mind maps, infographics and interactive reports open in the app. Documents, slides and tables show their text in the app, and can be opened in another app or shared. Each output can be renamed, deleted or tried again, and says which model made it.
  • Settings: account, server, workspace, theme and language. The workspace choice appears only when you have more than one. Plan & credits shows your plan and the credits left this period; Manage plan and credits opens the Billing page on the website. Sign out and the version number are at the bottom.

When something is refused because your credits ran out or your plan doesn't include it, the message offers Get credits or See plans, which open the website.

Not in the app

These are on the website only, which also works on a phone: notes, notifications, automations, email and the other connectors (Google Drive, Nextcloud), Search the web for new sources, picking workspace documents as sources, the model picker, / prompts, Save to note, Delete chat history, making workspaces, members, invitations and public links, workspace and user settings, API keys and Connect your agent, and password reset.

Getting it

The Android app is installed from an APK file, which you can ask the owner for (the Play Store release is pending). The iPhone app is on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/soloclef/id6821393434.

When you sign in, the server address is already filled in; sign in with the same email and password as on the web.

Signing in opens the server's own sign-in page in a browser sheet, so use whatever that server offers: single sign-on (Example SSO) or your email and password. Password reset is on the website. It allows 5 sign-in attempts a minute, and changing the server signs you out. You stay signed in as long as you open the app at least every 14 days, for up to 60 days.

On a phone browser, the website works too: it switches to a phone layout with Sources, Chat and Studio tabs.
